Just checking in :)

HELLO WORLD!! It's been a long time since I blogged, so I wanted to check in real quick before I headed off for work. Life is amazing. I wrote in February that "I don't see any BIG changes happening anytime soon..." HAHAHA!!! That's what I LOVE about life. Seriously, in one minute your entire life could change.

-I am now a single woman who still (deeply) loves a man that will never change.

-I am no longer the owner of a Toyota Tacoma. (I know that might not seem like a big deal to most of you, but what inspired me to sell my DREAM CAR?!! I miss it every day.)

-I quit my job at Salon Centric and moved to Texas to sell Devcon Security Systems with the Pinnacle boys from Logan. I am the only girl in the office and that has been very fun. ;) I am developing a love/hate relationship with this job, but surprisingly, even on my bad days I think about what this job will be like next summer once I've figured it all out.

-The missionary moments out here are such a blessing. I love the southern hospitality (everywhere so far except College Station... those people are RUDE... Longhorns for life) and the opportunity I get with almost every person to talk about Jesus Christ and what us Mormons from Utah believe. I love the quick connection from "You're from Utah?" to " Are you a Mormon?" And building on what we have in common is fantastic, because we do believe the Bible to be the word of God and we study the messages in there, too. :) So in a nut shell: I knew I was supposed to come here and it hasn't been a disappointment. The only disappointment so far is that I rocked it my first week and haven't sold anything since, haha, and my little bro is catching up to me.

So good luck in Tulsa, Jon, but I'm gonna tear it up in Lufkin this weekend. xoxo Lauren

This is me!! (What do I say??) I love journaling and I keep trying to give blogging a shot, haha. I love reading and learning about basically any subject, especially anything spiritually related. I work for a credit union here in Ogden and am loving it so far. (Bank schedule… score!!) I serve on the Utah Kappa Delta Alumnae Chapter Council (whew, that's a mouth full) and I also started my own It Works business this last year. Usually my "free time" is spent building that business, watching my favorite tv shows with my husband, and hanging out with my family! I've set some new goals that I'll share on here and hopefully this blog will document my progress, along with the rest of my life.

Jarvis

Oh Jarv. I love this man of mine more than I can say. One of the first things I loved about Jarvis was just how similar we are. Our sense of humor is the same, our personalities are the same, and a lot of the time we're thinking the same thing. But marriage brings out everything and I'm learning that we are also very different. He's pretty country… he loves horses, cows and farms and spends his days teaching high school kids all about them. He's also the FFA Advisor. He is one of those blessed individuals that absolutely loves what he does for work. (Lucky!!) When he's not working, he's either working on his online classes, helping out as the Chairman of the ATO (fraternity) board, or hanging out at home with the fam.

Luke

Luke is still our favorite. He is growing so fast and learning so much, it's hard to keep up. He's such an even mix of Mom & Dad, sometimes serious, sometimes hilarious!! A people watcher, an extrovert, and of course the funniest person in the room. ;) He's smart, very polite, and is talking all the time. We now have to watch what we say because he copies our words all the time. The answer to any question he's asked is "yeah" or "umm" and he LOVES "nanas" (bananas.) We absolutely love this little kiddo and hope he continues growing into the handsome, polite, happy kid he is.
