Day 30 - What I Want To Be When I "Grow Up"

The title of my dream job would probably be something like
"Wife, Mother, & Institute Teacher."

I want to be...

A disciple of Christ and a great missionary.
A loyal friend and a good neighbor.

I want to be home, available, appreciative, understanding, a good listener, supportive, encouraging, playful, energetic, happy, righteous, and fulfilled at home.

When I'm older I want to be a teacher.
I want to help people build strong, healthy, lasting family relationships. I want to teach couples how to prevent divorce and strengthen their marriage.

I want to teach youth how to begin the dating process. How to do it by following church guidelines and how to prepare themselves for courtship and marriage.

I want to teach young adults about preparing for marriage and continue teaching them through the newly married stage.

I want to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ into everything I teach. It's so much a part of who I am. I couldn't imagine teaching without talking about the principles and truths that the gospel teaches.

Day 28 - Something I'm Afraid Of

Sometimes. :(

Day 27 - Me & A Family Member

Megan Midget
is adorable. And kind. And quiet. And funny.
And I always want to know more about her.
We have weird inside jokes.
I interpretive dance for her.
She sings Beatles songs to me.
It's great. :)

Day 26 - Something That Means A Lot To Me

Family History :)

I'm not a genealogy person. I don't know who begat who throughout the generations of my family and filling in a pedigree chart doesn't sound exciting to me. I'm familiar about as far back as my great grandparents and then things start getting fuzzy.

BUT...

hearing stories about my family brings tears to my eyes. I love listening to stories about my grandparents and my great grandparents. I have taken a pretty big interest in my Grandpa and Grandma Goettsche in the last few years. My grandpa wrote his life story and completed half of it before he died. My grandma found it when she was cleaning out his desk and finished his history.

These two raised seven boys and one girl and I've talked to a lot of them recently about their experiences growing up. I am fascinated by the family that my dad grew up in and would love to find out more. I cherish each story that has been shared with me and I hope to document all of them someday. :)

Day 24 - My Favorite Sports Team

Sorry for the hiatus... kinda got distracted. :)

In my family, we cheer for Angels, Longhorns, and the Browns.
When it comes to taking sides for the holy war, I bleed red.

But when it comes to the important stuff...
this is who I cheer for. ;)

even though he's dumber than dumb. :)
