My friend, Tierra, loves lists! She loves them! Probably about as much as I do. Ha ha :) And every year on her birthday she makes a list for the next year (i.e. 21 Things To Do Before I Turn 21.) At first I thought she was crazy, but she finally convinced me to make my own "21 Things To Do" list so around July of last year I made my list (kinda late, I know, but better late than never, right?)
It had big things to do, small things to do, and some just plain stupid things to do, but I'm just going to say it, my list was the bomb!! I never thought checking stuff on a list would be so fun! I only managed to check off 9 of the 21, but I still feel like I did a pretty good job (especially since some of those things were "Get a real job," "learn how to wake board," and "move out!").
So last month, I started making a new list. "22 Things To Do Before I Turn 22." I figured I'd post it on here and keep you all updated. So here it is... :)
1. Learn to whistle. That's right. I don't know how. I never learned. I'm practicing a lot, though, and I'm getting pretty good. Next year on my birthday, I'm going to perform Mary Had A Little Lamb. That's the goal. :)
2. Read 10 books. One down, 9 to go.
3. Pay off my debt.
4. Put my truck in my name.
5. Ride the roller coaster at Buffalo Bills. You know which one I'm talking about. The one with the HUGE climb and then the HUGE drop. My friends and I stopped to ride it on the way back from Cali last month, but it was closed. I guess it's only open on the weekends?? Anyone want to take a road trip down to Primm?
6. Read the Children of the Promise series. I started reading them in like 7th grade or something and I really liked them, but I never read the last book so I don't know what happens to everyone in the end. I'm reading the first one right now, but I'm thinking it might be better to listen to them while I drive. (Books on tape count for my read 10 books goal. I just decided that.)
7. Read the Book of Mormon again.
8. Lose 10 lbs. At least. Ha ha, I want to get back down to my high school weight.
9. Start school. Hair school or college, whatever I end up deciding will come first.
10. Buy a bigger bed. I've been sleeping in a twin my whole life and I want a big girl bed, but I have a feeling I'm gonna be telling my kids someday "I don't care if you want a big bed. I slept in a twin until I was married. If you want a bigger bed, you buy it." Ha ha ha :)
11. Get another job. The one is good enough, but I don't ever have any extra money so I want another one.
12. Watch Dirty Dancing. I've never seen the whole movie. The only part I've seen is the part where they're practicing that lift over and over again in the lake. I've seriously seen that part like 10 times!
13. Stretch, become more flexible. Doing pretty good so far. :)
14. Go to a zoo. I've been to the Hogle Zoo once (with Amina, like 7 years ago) and I loved it. I want to go to another one or go to the Hogle Zoo again.
15. Eat at P.F.Chang's. Never been.
16. Talk to a LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) about their career. I'm pretty sure that's what I want to be when I "grow up."
17. Eat at Chipotle again. The first and only time I've ever eaten there was when Bobbie, Chelsey, Charmaine and I went down to Vegas in 9th grade for the Something Corporate/Yellowcard Concert at the House of Blues. It was yummy (if I'm remembering right) and I want another one of their delicious burritos.
18. Go to the temple every month. Last month the temple was closed for the last little bit for cleaning so I had to settle for the Visitor's Center. I had a lot of fun, but I want to go do baptisms. It's been too long since I've done them.
19. Get a set of luggage... so I can travel!!!
20. Stop swearing. As funny as I think the occasional "What the hell?!" is, I shouldn't say it.
21. Donate blood. Oh boy... my biggest fear. I need to do it, though, especially since my blood type is the "universal donor." Gotta love O-
And last but, most certainly not least...
22. Get a KAPPA DELTA window sticker for my truck. I know what I want, I just gotta have someone make it for me. :)
So there it is. My list! Keep checking back. I'll blog each time I check something off. :)
