Middle of the Night

4:06 this morning
Woke up to something on my face
Brushed it off
Sat up in bed
Found my phone and used it as a light
Saw something dark on the wall above where my head would have been

Shone my phone/light on the dark spot
Saw the cockroach
FLIPPED OUT!!!!
Jumped out of my bed
Turned the light on
It was one of those red cockroaches... gross.
Realized it couldn't have been on my face if it was that far up the wall
Eww! Cockroaches can climb walls?!?!?!!!!!

"Where's a flip flop?"

Found one!!

SMASH!!!!

Gross.

Texted Ian.

Went to the bathroom to get some TP to clean it up

Another cockroach!!

"You gotta be effing kidding me!"

Killed second cockroach (just a black one, no biggie)

Cleaned up both cockroaches

Texted Ian again...

(Ian's just going to laugh when he reads these in the morning)

So now I'm in the paradise room with my computer.

Finding the music to play at Rachel's wedding,

Checking on flights to Texas,

Facebooking,

Blogging,

and definitely NOT sleeping... even though it's 5:20 in the morning.

I haven't seen any more cockroaches

But once again I'm thinking...

"this house really is a dump."

Excited for my lease to be up in September

so I can find a newer, cleaner, cockroach free place to live.

I think I'm going to sleep here on the couch... if I can fall asleep.
I'm still freaked out about the cockroaches.

This is me!! (What do I say??) I love journaling and I keep trying to give blogging a shot, haha. I love reading and learning about basically any subject, especially anything spiritually related. I work for a credit union here in Ogden and am loving it so far. (Bank schedule… score!!) I serve on the Utah Kappa Delta Alumnae Chapter Council (whew, that's a mouth full) and I also started my own It Works business this last year. Usually my "free time" is spent building that business, watching my favorite tv shows with my husband, and hanging out with my family! I've set some new goals that I'll share on here and hopefully this blog will document my progress, along with the rest of my life.

Jarvis

Oh Jarv. I love this man of mine more than I can say. One of the first things I loved about Jarvis was just how similar we are. Our sense of humor is the same, our personalities are the same, and a lot of the time we're thinking the same thing. But marriage brings out everything and I'm learning that we are also very different. He's pretty country… he loves horses, cows and farms and spends his days teaching high school kids all about them. He's also the FFA Advisor. He is one of those blessed individuals that absolutely loves what he does for work. (Lucky!!) When he's not working, he's either working on his online classes, helping out as the Chairman of the ATO (fraternity) board, or hanging out at home with the fam.

Luke

Luke is still our favorite. He is growing so fast and learning so much, it's hard to keep up. He's such an even mix of Mom & Dad, sometimes serious, sometimes hilarious!! A people watcher, an extrovert, and of course the funniest person in the room. ;) He's smart, very polite, and is talking all the time. We now have to watch what we say because he copies our words all the time. The answer to any question he's asked is "yeah" or "umm" and he LOVES "nanas" (bananas.) We absolutely love this little kiddo and hope he continues growing into the handsome, polite, happy kid he is.
